Genre research

By doing this we have found out the sub genres of our component genres and examples of films in the sub genres. I also found out what genre appealed to me the most and therefore we all decided we want to do a Crime and Gangster film.

  1. Polly,

The genre research is not very detailed, I.e., there is no reference to the kinds of props, camera shots, music, etc, that you might find in gangster OR horror films. On the other hand, I do like the fact that you are adding comments at the end to say WHAT you think that you have learned from doing this research.

HOWEVER, I think that the comments here are a bit brief and lightweight. I suggest that you round off all pieces of research and planning with a bullet point list of about 3 OR 4 things that you have learned from undertaking the task and HOW this is going to help you

For example, this research could help you to realise that the horror genre requires more commitment to things such as costume, make-up, etc and may need to be filmed at night (which is difficult with our level of equipment)
